Roadshow is a desktop app that drafts emails into your own school Outlook account. Most of what you do with it never touches our servers. This page is the plain version of what we collect, what we do not, and where it lives.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you buy a tier through Stripe Checkout and again when you sign in. We need it to deliver the magic-link sign-in URL and to let you recover your account.
- An install ID (a random UUID generated on first launch). It is how we attribute your free-trial drafts and credit balance to the right install. It is not tied to your real-world identity unless you also purchase.
- AI-call telemetry: endpoint name, timestamp, success or failure. No payload contents. We use this to spot outages and to budget Anthropic spend.
- Stripe handles your payment information. We never see your card number, billing address, or CVV. We only receive the Stripe customer ID and the email you typed into Checkout.
What we do not collect
- The contents of your contacts file. Only the column headers and the first 3 sample rows ever leave your laptop, and only so Claude can map your columns to canonical fields.
- Recipient email addresses. The full list never reaches our servers.
- The body of any draft you generate. Drafts are written directly into your Outlook on the Web by your own browser session.
- Your Outlook cookies, password, or SAML token. The browser profile lives entirely on your machine, at
~/.roadshow/browser-profile/.
Where the data we do collect lives
- Postgres on Railway, US region. Account email, install ID, credit balance, plan, expiry.
- Stripe, for payment records.
- Resend, for transactional email (purchase receipts, sign-in links).
- Anthropic, for the two AI calls per upload (schema detection and variable mapping). Inputs are column headers + 3 sample rows and your template + headers, respectively. Per Anthropic's policy these are not used to train models.
Your rights
Email hello@getroadshow.app and we will delete your account row, your credit balance, and any telemetry tied to your install ID. We do not sell or share any of this with third parties beyond the processors listed above.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is material, we will email anyone with an active credit balance.
